About The Artist
Andriy Ivanyshchuk is a lawyer by education, a Doctor of Law, and a professor. For over 20 years, he dedicated his life to the legal field, but at the age of 45, his path took an unexpected turn—he discovered sculpture.
While living in Kherson, Ukraine, Andriy found himself under occupation during Russia’s full-scale invasion. The hardships he endured during those months profoundly changed his perception of life. It was in occupation that he realized the power of art—its ability to capture emotions, preserve memories, and reflect the spirit of the times.
For him, sculpture became more than just a form of self-expression. It became a way to leave a mark in the world of art, to convey his experiences, and to remind others that true freedom exists within us. This is how his unique artistic style was born—animated ceramic sculptures where frozen motion symbolizes life, strength, and an unbreakable spirit.
